Lauren + Nicholas’s Sun Valley Wedding was Absolutely Dreamy. It definitely makes the ‘Top 3 Things We’ve done in Sun Valley’ List!

When I moved to Idaho 8 years ago I had never even heard of Sun Valley, and for sure never thought I would be a Sun Valley Wedding Photographer. However, now I’m in LOVE with the area and just can’t get enough of it! Here is my list of the Top 3 Things we’ve had the chance to do in Sun Valley:

1. Visiting My Sister

We have had such an amazing opportunity over the past 2 years to visit Sun Valley more than I can count. Mostly, because my sister and her family now live there! They used to be a 10 hour drive away in Seattle but now I can make the quick hop-jump-and-a-skip in 2.5 hours (which is just long enough for my little one to nap and for me to gather my thoughts about life).

I love my nephews but I also love the Spa there! This past year my sister and new sister-in-love (I heard this term the other day and thought it was really sweet) spent a couple days at the resort. We got massages, swam in the heated pool, and spent an entire day in robes. It was magical!

2. Teaching Our First Photography Class

That’s right! We taught our very first, and definitely not our last, photography course to a class of 15! I can’t even describe how nervous I was leading up to it, my anxiety was through the roof. However, it was the most amazing feeling in the world to be able to take what we have learned over the past decade and transfer some of that knowledge to those who were ready to learn. I can’t wait to teach again at our Workshop coming up this May!!!

3. And Finally, Lauren + Nicholas’s Sun Valley Wedding

Their wedding definitely stands as one of my favorites for so many reasons. One being, I have never met a more laid back Bride + Groom in my life. They just went with the flow during every step of the way. Lauren grew up in the Sun Valley are so it was only fitting that the wedding was held at her parent’s estate. We were so blessed to have been the photographers on their wedding day! Everything was beautiful, the food was incredible, and the people were amazing! For a wedding photographer, you’d be surprised at how much time I end up speaking to the Bride and Groom’s family and friends. And let me tell you, these guys were a hoot! All four parents we delightful and so much fun! Also, many of their attendees have been best friends with their parent’s for decades! We had the best time.

Thank you so much for allowing us to serve you, meet your wonderful family, for inviting us into your beautiful Sun Valley home, and be your wedding photographers on the most amazing day of your lives! We love you guys!
